Non-Construction

Most people think of swinging a hammer when they think about volunteering for Habitat. Due to the tremendous amount of planning and management required to build just one home, we have a constant need for committee members and volunteers to help with various other tasks. Many of our younger volunteers (under the age of 16) and families who'd like to volunteer together opt to help out here... You don't need to be an expert in any of these fields to help out! There are many tasks that require only a willingness to learn and work with others.

Committees

• Public Relations
  For anyone interested in writing for the newsletter, issuing press releases, making contact with local media, etc. No experience necessary - just enthusiasm! Education

• Workshop Leaders
  Also needed are volunteers with extensive knowledge in plumbing, electrical, heating/venting, etc. that would be willing to teach staff and perhaps conduct monthly workshops.

Home Builders Blitz!

• Media Assistant
  Media Assistants will help to coordinate the needs of local and regional media during the Home Builders Blitz! in June.
• Planning Team Members
  Planning Team Members will help to plan this exciting project from now, through to the completion of the 2006 Home Builders Blitz! in June.

Office & Clerical Support

• Office Assistant
  We are always looking for folks to assist in mailings, answering the phone, and other general office activities.

ReStore — Retail outlet store

• ReStore Donation Pick-up
  The ReStore needs volunteers to drive our donations pick-up vehicle one or two days a week usually for 2-4 hours. Sometimes you will need to assist in loading donated materials into the donations vehicle, so the ablility to safely lift 50 lbs is desired.
• ReStore In-store Volunteer
