Women Build Home Dedication Habitat Meadows Subdivision Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 10:30am
Habitat for Humanity Mrs. Jenicia Hayes and her family as the Partner Family for the 2008 Women Build. Jenicia works at West Tennessee OB/Gyn Services, an obstetrics, gynecology and midwifery practice here in Jackson that is part of West Tennessee Healthcare. Her family suffered the loss of their previous home to fire early in 2007 and she is excited to be part of this groundbreaking event for our community. Jenicia is pictured above, along with the members of the 2008 Women Build Planning Committee. Jenicia will be responsible for completing 500 "sweat equity" hours, including hands-on build time and education/classroom time related to the project. She and her family will purhcase the new home, as do other Habitat Partner Families, through a zero percent interest loan over the course of a 30 year loan period. Proceeds from the mortgage go back to Habitat to assist additional families through future homebuilding projects.
